Immigration legistration changes in Jan 2010

Hi all,

I heard that early this year, there are some changes in the processing time for skilled migration visas. Does any one know the details? I lodged my PR application in December 2008 and heard nothing. I studied accounting and applied under "Skilled – Independent Overseas Student Subclass 880"

Hi Saon,

I'm not an immigration agent, but I just know some info as my friend is applying as well. You can find some info about
the new priority processing time here

In question Q11, you can see that if your profession is not in the Critical Skill List, and you applied onshore,
you have to wait until the end of 2011 at least :(.

Accountant is at the bottom of the list if you have IELTS 7 and 1 year of professional experience.
