I am an ESL Teacher (English as a Second Language Teacher) and I am available to help students with their English when necessary. My husband is a scientist/statistician.
The terrace is in a quiet location close to beaches, cafes, restaurants, churches, library, art gallery, university Harbourside Forum, yoga classes, sports venues, interesting walks, entertainment and recreational activities. It is within walking distance to an Aldi supermarket, CBD shops and Marketown shopping centres..It would suit a serious overseas student or a student from the country.
The Terrace is a couple of minutes away from a bus stop and the railway station. The train to the University takes 15 minutes from Newcastle Station to Warabrook Station. The bus service to the University is reliable and efficient. There is access to wireless internet for study and Skype for students.
Former students at staying at the terrace enjoyed their stay because there were plenty of outdoor leisure activities to pursue to help them unwind when they were not studying.
The length of stay is negotiable. Short stays are available for students visiting the University as well as longer stays. Two weeks notice is essential. There is free access to the kitchen to cook all meals. Some cooked meals could be negotiated if necessary.
There is a bicycle/helmet/lock to use occasionally when needed.
