Overview
We have an exceptional career opportunity for an aggressive, sales professional to generate targeted sales of SOMO (School of Music Online) products. SOMO in an interactive online music education program tailored towards schools and students across Australia with the syllabus set in accordance with an authorised examination board (St Cecilia). SOMO currently has partnerships with a high profile piano manufacturer (Kawai) and a games development company.
The sales rep will work to sell our courses as yearly licenses to one audience: Australian schools
Covering all state, catholic and independent schools across Australia, the sales rep is responsible for all aspects of their territory map.

Outside sales calls to define customer needs and explain product solutions.

Outbound phone calls and outside prospecting to uncover new leads.

Build a good relationship with existing customer base.
We will provide the successful candidate with all the necessary materials and collateral to pursue the sale giving them the best opportunity to achieve results.
The position is paid as commission only. The commission is 5% of the sales produced and the licenses are to be sold in bulk which results in higher earnings.
The sales rep will work closely with the organization's Management, Social media and designers to refine and re-create effective sales materials that will help support the product and company brand and to make the selling process easier.
The successful candidate will develop and utilise sales strategies to react to different audiences and learn about online education. Qualifications include strong writing skills, creative and critical thinking, and some experience working with schools or the education sector.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will possess the following:

Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team .

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to successfully prospect, conduct sales calls, and close orders.
The sales rep will work from home and be required make a minimum of 5 calls to clients per day. They will be required to attend fortnightly and weekly team meetings and regular communication with the management team and marketers.
