Would you like to spend your time to help make Hornsby Relay for Life the best it can be?  

Cancer Council NSW needs your help to set-up, run and pack down our Hornsby Relay for Life event on Saturday 5th November or Sunday 6th November!    

About Relay for Life:

Cancer Council NSW is dedicated to lead, empower and mobilise the community to beat cancer. Relay for Life is a community event which raises money for cancer research, education, prevention and support programs. It is a fun overnight event, with the challenge of completing a relay style walk/run within a festival atmosphere. This is your opportunity to be a part of the fun as an Event Day Volunteer - we'd love your help to make our upcoming events a success.

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic volunteers to volunteer for Hornsby Relay for Life from 5-6 November.  

Shift times range from 7:30am to 9pm. Please include your availability on the application form and we will allocate you to a shift.  

Our ideal volunteer will be:    

  • Interested in community engagement through events        
  • Friendly, warm and possess a empathic manner        
  • Confident in communicating with people and large groups        
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team        
  • Willing to travel to event location          
  • Ready to smile and have fun!  

When do we need you:  

Volunteers must be available for a 4-5 hour shift. Please indicate you preferred day and  time on the  application form.  

Saturday, November 5, 2016:           

  • Day Shifts 7:30am - 12:30pm and 12:30pm - 4:30pm

Volunteers are required to help with event set up, registration and general event day support. Roles will be allocated based on availability.  

  • Evening Shift - 4:30pm - 9pm

Volunteers are required for candlelight ceremony and general event day support  

Sunday, November 6, 2016:

  • Morning Shift 6.30am - 11:30am

Volunteers will be required to support final celebrations and to pack down event
