DESCRIPTION

DEC PR is a full-service agency that specialises in growing brands and protecting reputations. We work across many diverse categories ranging from travel, food and motoring, to property, finance and technology.

If you're currently in the second or third year of your communications or marketing degree and are looking for agency experience, our program is designed to provide you with the skills and experience required to begin your career as a PR professional.

As a DEC PR intern, you will be working across the agency, supporting our team of consultants on a range of tasks, including:

  • Research and reporting: Grow your knowledge of the industry and learn important skills by assisting with media monitoring and coverage reporting, as well as research required by teams;
  • Writing: Sharpen your writing skills with practical opportunities to draft media releases, alerts, blog posts and other documents;
  • Digital: Get hands-on experience with social media channels, and helping with content creation; writing posts for the DEC blog;
  • Meetings: As an integral part of the DEC team, the intern participates in agency brainstorms and internal meetings throughout their internship;
  • Event support: Assisting in research, coordination and attend events, where needed.
