Cisco Services Lab Operations Internship

Cisco is currently recruiting for interns Cisco Services Lab Operations Internship. The interns will help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues.

As an intern, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and isolating customer network problems, using “Recreates” in our Lab. These can be very complex and will offer you the chance to work on many pieces of leading-edge Cisco equipment. Under supervision, you will also have the chance to be guided through the development and completion of test plans to isolate issues to help resolve our customer’s problems. We are keen to hear from students seeking industrial attachments as part of an IT, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering course.

This is a 6 month paid internship and is open to students who are currently enrolled in study, and will resume study after completion of the internship term

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of Advanced Services or Technical Services lab.
  • Provides support to senior engineers on reproducing customer lab environments.
  • Minimal design and analysis work.
  • Performs related technical support functions on problem resolution in support of a major account.
  • Conformance to service delivery Advanced Services/Technical Services standards.
  • Typically requires BS/CS or equivalent plus 0-2 years related technical experience.
  • MS a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of: IP Internetworking, IBM internetworking, LAN switching, ATM, WAN Expertise Voice technologies.
  • Internetworking Troubleshooting experience, protocol diagnosis and decoding to the packet level.
  • Ability to leverage technical expertise of others.

Students must have Australian\New Zealand Citizens or Australian Permanent Residency only and be enrolled in full time education throughout the internship period.
