The Academic Portfolio at RMIT leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Academic Registrar's Group (ARG) is responsible for the administrative, policy and governance activities of the University which relate to the student lifecycle. The Assessment Support Unit (ASU) manages the centralised special consideration process, compliance review of student exclusion recommendations from the schools, and assessment of applications for Higher Education Support Act (HESA) remission of debt under special circumstances. The unit also coordinates results processes for all university cohorts. This position is the first respondent for telephone inquiries and multiple email accounts, in particular the special consideration and HESA remission email accounts. In this role, you will provide accurate advice and service, to ensure timely provision of information about the Assessment policy and procedures. This role also supports the academic progress side of the unit at peak times and other unit activities as required. To be considered for this role, you will have excellent written and verbal communication and proof-reading skills with the ability to listen, interpret and convey information (including relevant policy and procedural information) in a clear, concise, accurate and appropriate manner. You will also have proficient computer skills, with a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with attention to spelling, grammar and presentation. It is essential you have experience with Microsoft Office email applications and data entry and preferably also experience with a Campus Solutions student management system. Experience in a university, student services or customer service environment is highly desirable.
