The Opportunity

The Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) is a
partnership between WorkSafe Victoria (WorkSafe), the Transport Accident
Commission (TAC) and Monash University (Monash). ISCRR aims to conduct research
aligned with compensation scheme issues and objectives, and to facilitate the
translation of research evidence into policy and practice that will lead to
fewer and less severe occupational injuries and illnesses and improved health,
vocational and social outcomes.
As described in our Strategic Plan, Vision 2020, ISCRR has developed a
collaborative research model which features three pillars: (1) setting the
research agenda (2) conducting or facilitating research and (3) translating
research.
The Research Officer is an important role within the Evidence Review Hub. As
the successful applicant, you will be responsible for facilitating, conducting
and contributing to a range of evidence reviews and related synthesis
activities, which deliver high quality outputs that are tailored to our
end-user and will support the adoption and impact of research. The role is
critical in supporting the development and strengthening of ISCRR as a centre
of excellence in evidence synthesis for health policy.
You will require a tertiary and/or post graduate qualification in social
science, epidemiology, public policy or a health-related discipline as well as
substantial relevant work experience or an equivalent alternate combination of
relevant and substantial knowledge, training and/or experience.
If you are passionate about using high quality research evidence to influence
policy and practice in the health or related setting, and would love to make
difference in the lives of people with transport accident injury or
work-related injury and disease, we encourage you to apply.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may
be negotiated.

Your application must address the selection criteria. Please refer to "How to
apply for Monash Jobs"
