ASSISTANT DATA MANAGER - CANCER GENETICS Job no: 0039705 Work type: Fixed Term Location: Parkville Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics Melbourne School of Population and Global Health Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences Salary: $74,958 - $81,138 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation The Assistant Data Manager will be based in the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CEB), Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, at The University of Melbourne and be a member of a multidisciplinary research team working in the Colorectal Cancer Unit. As the Assistant Data Manager, you will design and develop and maintain a database for the allocated project. You will develop data cleaning, data formatting and data extraction processes. You will apply these processes to submitted datasets from the project investigators. You will liaise with the project investigators to resolve data inconsistencies and questions and repeat the processes of data resubmissions. You will be required to use a variety of database and data analysis applications and understand how these interact. You will work closely with researchers and project management staff in the Centre, as well as investigators from national and international collaborating institutions. You will need to ensure that work is conducted within the predetermined study protocol of the projects. You will be required to report progress of the study on a regular basis. The appointee will report to Professor Mark Jenkins and work under the day to day supervision of Dr Aung Ko Win at the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics. As a member of the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health's professional staff team you will be expected to support the broad ethos of the School and the School's compliance with University policies and procedures, including environmental health and safety.
