The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Configuration Management Lead to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. The role can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown, or Amberley.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the Configuration and Data Management plans, processes and procedures for the project in accordance with DASR, Boeing Defence Australia and contractual requirements

  • Develop and maintain the PLM system to manage the data, change and baselines for the project in accordance with the project requirements

  • Prepare and participate in configuration and other audits as required

  • Lead the alignment of project Configuration and Data Management processes with the common Boeing processes and practices

  • Lead the continuous improvement of processes for efficiency in accordance with LEAN principles

  • Develop, implement and maintain the controls for data to meet security, trade control and intellectual property requirements

  • Develop training for the Configuration and Data Management processes and procedures, and deliver the training to the project team


Experience/Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry

  • Experienced in managing configuration of products in a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar

  • Experience in the application of DASR to configuration management

  • Experienced in auditing and the application of LEAN principles

  • Ability to obtain a NV1 security clearance

  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements.
