Calvary is seeking suitably qualified and experienced doctors to work with a diverse multidisciplinary team providing medical assessment, treatment and care to hospital inpatients. The Hospital Medical Officer supports the clinical team and Specialist Medical Practitioners in the Coronary Care Unit and provides medical support to other surgical and medical inpatients. This role presents a great opportunity for doctors who want to expand their clinical hospital experience and exposure to complex medical and surgical patients in the private hospital setting and is well supported by experienced nursing and Allied Health professionals. Shifts will be rostered 24/7 and part time or full time appointment available. Calvary St Luke's Hospital and St Vincent's Hospital (Calvary) collectively has 143 beds providing a diverse range of services including high dependency, medical, cardiac, surgical, rehabilitation, palliative care and mental health to a regional catchment with a population of approximately 130,000. St Vincent's Hospital is in the process of upgrading the High Dependency Unit to a Coronary Care Unit which will enable more complex cardiac and surgical cases to be undertaken. Both hospitals are part of a health precinct in Launceston within close proximity to the public Launceston General Hospital.
