MANAGER, EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATION & LIAISON Job no: 0033710 Work type: Continuing Location: Parkville The Office of the Dean and Faculty Executive Director Faculty of Arts Salary: $93,052 - $100,717 p.a. plus 17% superannuation Employment Type: Full-time (continuing) The Manager, Executive Communication and Liaison is a member of the team within the Office of the Dean and Faculty Executive Director, Faculty of Arts. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Executive Communication and Liaison is responsible for the effective management of the operations of the office, including the smooth functioning of key administrative support services to the Dean and Executive Director, and for ensuring governance frameworks and University and Faculty protocols are adhered to. As Manager, Executive Communication and Liaison you will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-level executive communications strategy for the Faculty of Arts, including communication output to internal and external stakeholders. The focus of the role is communications from the Dean, Faculty Executive Director and Faculty Executive to promote and advance the Faculty's profile domestically and internationally. This will also involve the development and coordination of business cases, project briefs, correspondence to key stakeholders and formal submissions (internal and external) originating from and on behalf of the Office of the Dean and Faculty Executive Director, and the Faculty Executive. In this position you will work closely with relevant portfolio holders to develop strategies to ensure Faculty staff are kept abreast of key initiatives, policy changes and developments as appropriate. You will work closely with the Faculty's External Relations team as appropriate to facilitate maximum public exposure of key Faculty activities, events and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage major and minor projects and strategic initiatives as directed by the Dean and Faculty Executive Director, working effectively with key internal stakeholders to successfully deliver on project outcomes. In this regard, you will also act as a key liaison point between the Faculty's Executive office and Schools, Centres and Faculty Business units to support the transition of projects and key initiatives into the Faculty's mainstream business framework. This will require you to identify barriers, process and system challenges and resource requirements through liaising with various stakeholders to enable effective integration of new and evolving activities into existing support structures. The Manager, Executive Communication and Liaison is also responsible for the leadership and management of staff within the Office of the Dean and Faculty Executive Director. This exciting and diverse role is available on a full-time, continuing basis.
