DESCRIPTION

Fashion Weekly is currently seeking a creative and agile Advertising Intern to join our Brisbane team.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will assist in maximising profitable advertising revenue through effective business planning and developing sales strategies for the team.

As a creative individual who brings a fresh and dynamic approach through proven sales experience combined with fashion industry knowledge, you will use your skills to assist the team in creating advertising strategies and reaching sales targets for revenue.
This is an internship role of 1-2 days with the potential to become part-time and full-time.

You will develop invaluable skills and experience, gain industry insight and have the opportunity to cultivate connections within the Brisbane fashion industry.

Office location is in Capalaba, Brisbane and the appropriate person needs to be comfortable working in a shared and busy office environment.

Core role responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Print and online advertising sales
  • Creating and managing sales
  • Cold calling to approach new clients
  • Roll-out of new product developments
  • Attending functions on behalf of Fashion Weekly

Preferred skills and previous experience:

  • Experience in a sales/marketing type role, with specific advertising sales (online, digital, print, social media) 
  • Proven ability to retain and build effective working relationships 
  • Knowledge of the digital landscape and its benefits would be highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skills, with a structured & logical thought process
  • Outstanding relationship building, communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to identify opportunities and drive execution excellence
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent planning and problem resolution capabilities
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to embrace and drive change
  • A desire to do better, be better, and achieve success!
