Have you worked in a Roadhouse, a fast food chain or a supermarket deli section or something similar before?

We are seeking staff for a period of three months with a positive friendly attitude and are able to work under pressure to join the Mataranka Roadhouse team. These roles will require staff to be self motivated and offer a wide range of experiences that goes with running a small multi faceted business.

The shifts are on a rotating roster between 07:00am and 10:00pm seven days per week. Minimum 35 hours up to possibly 60 hours.

Training will be provided by the Manager for the successful applicant/s.

For the right person/people the package includes accommodation and other staff benefits.

General duties include:
Cashier duties;
Data entry;
Sales;
Food preparation - making sandwiches/wraps/rolls/toasties;
Preparing main and take away meals;
Cleaning of kitchen, roadhouse, amenities and cabins; and
General duties required to maintain a well presented Roadhouse.

The Mataranka Roadhouse is one of three in Mataranka and has 14 cabins, serves meals all day, has a general store, groceries and fuel.

Mataranka is only an hour south of Katherine and 4 hours south of Darwin. It is a great little community with a school, library, government centre and much more.

The town has two thermal springs which are very popular with the tourists and the resource industry brings plenty of truckies into town looking for good food and service.

There is Telstra mobile phone coverage and internet coverage at Mataranka so we are not that remote :)

The new owners have been upgrading the Roadhouse over the past six months and services now include a larger retail range of general store products and refurbished cabins. We are striving to be known for quality food and memorable customer service.
