The College of Business comprises 6 Schools delivering a broad range of programs in Business, at Traineeship, Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor, Masters and PhD levels. Many programs articulate between Vocational and Higher Education, creating pathways for further study. The Senior Advisor, Research Grant Development will be required to provide strategic advice, support and grant writing expertise to researchers within the College of Business. You will be responsible for editing, reviewing and revising research funding applications, as well as contributing to the development of research grant writing capacity in the College and Schools. This role requires collaboration with the Business Research Office and the Research Office in the Research & Innovation Portfolio, to identify funding opportunities and relate these to suitable academic staff. This will be achieved by keeping abreast of current and emerging research strengths and priorities within the College, understanding individual funding scheme objectives/rules, and developing an awareness of individual researcher interests and capabilities. You will also be expected to develop and maintain knowledge of national and international (where appropriate) research funding policies. To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated experience in developing and writing/or editing external research funding applications, preferably in the tertiary education sector along with demonstrated understanding of and ability to interpret research funding scheme guidelines and funding rules. You will also possess high-level analytical skills, with an ability to understand issues at a broad level as well as at a detailed operational level. It is essential you have a relevant post graduate qualification plus relevant knowledge, training and experience in grant support and administration.
