An exciting and progressive Disability Services provider.

  • Provide leadership and coaching, manage, mentor, appraise, develop and co-ordinate service planners responsible for the delivery of service planning, outcome monitoring and review in the allocated area of responsibility to achieve the organisation's required level of service delivery, practice and compliance.
  • Contribute to project leadership for the implementation of the organisation's strategic plan elements as they pertain to the role's areas of accountability, including the development of new service initiatives, practice initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Manage the provision of service planning in the allocated program area, including contributing to tenders and establishing funding, programming and contractual arrangements for delivery of new services necessary to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Identify and effectively negotiate funding packages and contracts and supervise employees undertaking these functions ensuring all decisions are consistent with strategic objectives, organisational guidelines for evaluating contract viability and risk management.
  • Supervise and manage all direct reports to ensure that all aspects of service planning in the allocated service delivery area, including assessment, needs analysis, interpretation, written agreements, reporting, supervision of employees and resolution management are undertaken to a high standard.
  • Represent the organisation and service delivery area in negotiations and develop relevant stakeholder relationships related to contractual agreements, service delivery and issues management within approved delegations and consistent with strategic objectives, practice and organisational guidelines
  • Manage allocated budget and work with Finance to develop quotes and budgets for new services, including evaluating viability within existing organisational guidelines and preparing contract arrangements for approval. Undertake purchasing and manage human resourcing levels within approved delegations and consistent with strategic objectives and organisational guidelines.
  • Develop, control and co-ordinate activities and monitor and evaluate outcomes as they relate to service planning. Identify issues and initiate corrective actions to comply with the organisation's quality accreditation, risk management and governance requirements.
  • Actively contribute to the organisation's position as a preferred service provider in the sector by building relationships, publicising and providing information about the service in relevant stakeholder forums.
  • The Senior Service Planner will have the following skills and experinece:
  • Substantial industry relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising a team to achieve required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results- drives and delivers performance against goals.
  • Demonstrated specialist knowledge and capability in the disability sector gained through applicable experience training and education.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including contract negotiation and documentation, tender writing, consulting and mediation skills.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships
  • Advanced problem solving, consultation and negotiation skills.
  • Well-developed ICT literacy and competency in all applicable MS Office products, use of NDIS portal and the demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new systems to achieve outcomes.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to proactively identify and meet expectations in a timely manner as well as the ability to support others to do the same.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and motivate others.
  • Demonstrated ability to design new services, develop service proposals and negotiate funding agreements based on assessed needs of individual clients.
