Teacher - Clapham

We're looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children's needs and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

Goodstart Early Learning Clapham is located approximately 10 minutes from the city and we are close to local schools, shops and public transport, which makes us convenient for working parents.

Our educators at Goodstart Clapham are a highly motivated and friendly team who are dedicated to providing a safe, secure and educational environment, giving each child the best possible start in life.

We are using the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework to guide our planning for the children's development from 6 weeks to 5 years. Sustainability has become embedded in our programs as the children are encouraged to learn and grow with their environment.

Your role

• Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
• Hold a current First Aid qualification
• Full time, permanent role
• Work in a well-resourced centre with 3 rooms, leading a 30 place 3-5 year room, running the 4-5 program
• Set Shift times, 10am to 6:30pm
• Centre has incursions in place
• Universal Access
• Centre is running at an excellent occupancy of 90%
• Plan innovative and engaging learning experiences
• Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children.

Responsibilities

• Assess children's learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions
• Maintain and apply expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework
• Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program

• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children and the centre team
• Model effective application of pedagogy in teaching practice
• Contribute to a professional and positive work culture
