The position is currently unpaid with strong chances of promotion into a paid position upon evaluation. We are looking for candidates who can work between 2-3 days p/week. (up to 10 hours Maximum). 

  

DESCRIPTION

If you are eager to work hard and are ready to hit the ground running, we want you on our team! The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, passion for making businesses more efficient and successful, and will be able to get up to speed quickly.

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Accounting Intern will assist with many daily accounting activities including: Invoicing, customer statements, posting and/or reconciling A/R and A/P, and any other projects as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience in accounting software (XERO a Bonus)!
• High attention to detail, team player and proactive in all areas of work.
• Experience of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Able to maintain and organise effective electronic and manual filing systems.
• Project Management skills, and ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks and Duties 

• Bookkeeping including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations  
• Account and database management, record keeping and Accounting tasks.Process accounts receivable.
• Manage error free internal control spreadsheets and reconciliations efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with month and year-end reporting.
• Ad hoc accounts tasks as required.

  Once again this internship initially, we are looking for candidates needing extra work of 1-2 days p/week MAX (so other work and paid jobs may easily be scheduled around this). After our short internship review period, your contract will be reviewed and full-time work is often offered to a hard-working individual. You will also have the opportunity to do all this work from the comfort of your own home if you choose to do so!
