RESEARCH COLLABORATION & FUNDING COORDINATOR Job no: 0037857 Work type: Continuing Location: Parkville Research Development Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Salary: $74,958 - $81,138 p.a. plus 17% superannuation Under the direction of the Manager, Research Collaboration and Funding, the incumbent will work closely with academics and professional staff across the Faculty and wider University to provide high level advice across the research funding lifecycle. The Research Development team is a Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences service unit, headed by the Director, Research Development. The Research Collaboration and Funding portfolio within team is responsible for: promotion of funding opportunities; coordination of internal grant and fellowship schemes; support for external major research initiatives; coordination of research focussed awards and prizes; research events; preparation of reports and briefing papers, and facilitation of increased Faculty participation in multidisciplinary, thematic and cross-Faculty funding proposals. Key focusses of the role are to provide high level administrative support for research grant, policy and project support services. The incumbent will work closely with the other members of the Faculty Research Development team. They are required to be well organised, to be able to use initiative, work as part of a team and display sound judgement to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
